Unfortunately, there will be a 2-hour delay for reveals. The new reveals time will be 22:00PM UTC.

The Internet Archive is down, and many podficcers use this to host their audio files and cover art, so if we revealed now, a large percentage of the collection's podfics wouldn't be visible. We want everyone to experience the same reveals exciement! Our anthology also uses the Internet Archive for hosting, so our reveals post would essentially be a "coming soon" if we revealed now 😂

We have our fingers crossed that everything will be back online within two hours (this is very rare!) and thank you all for your patience!

All podfics are in! The next step is compiling the anthology audiobook, which is on track to be released on Tuesday at 20:00PM UTC along with the main collection reveal. Thank you so much to all the podficcers and podfic pinch hitters who came together to produce 151 podfics in two weeks!

In the meantime, we suggest updating your AO3 profile to include "Podfic welcome" if you don't already have a statement. This is not compulsory for the project, though we have a podficcer helper on hand who has volunteered to go through all creator profiles from this project after reveals and, if a podfic statement is found, add those creators to www.fpslist.org This site is a directory of podfic permission statements by fanwork creators and extremely helpful for podficcers to find works to record. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask them here. Thank you JocundaSykes for your kind assistance with this!

The Rare Candies collection will also be revealed on Tuesday, so if you've any generation one treats in you, that's the place to post them.

There are a little under 24 hours remaining until the podfic submission deadline for the PokéPod Project! We hope you’re having fun with your podfic assignments and pinch hits. 

Please note that the deadline is 20:00PM UTC, which could be earlier or later in the day than you might be used to for event deadlines, depending on your time zone. Here's a countdown. After that time, any Pokémon that don’t have podfics submitted to the collection will go out to pinch hitters (unless we've already discussed an alternative submission time with you), so be sure to check the deadline time in your country.

Podficcers, please keep an eye out here and/or our Tumblr for our updated Adopt-a-Pokemon thread in the coming days, as there may be Pokemon in need of a pinch hitter after the deadline.

The writing deadline has now passed, and podfic signups are closed, which means all the awesome stories submitted so far will be handed to our wonderful podficcers who'll have two weeks to perform and post them. Writers who have not submitted their assignment, and who have not already discussed an alternate deadline with us, will be defaulted. This means the Pokemon they were assigned will be put up for adoption.

Well done to everyone who submitted their assignment and good luck to those finishing up! The variety of stories and the amount of love poured into these Pokemon has been such a joy for your mods to see so far. We can't wait to unleash them into the wild.

What happens next?
1) Podficcer emails with assignments and instructions will be sent out within the next 24 hours. 
2) Our Adopt-a-Pokemon thread (aka pinch hit post) will be posted here shortly after all podficcer assignments are sent. This post will contain pinch hits for both writing and podfic.
3) We will announce our bonus treat collection. More details to come.
4) Once all Pokemon have both a story and podfic, the collection and anthology will be revealed!

If, for whatever reason, you can no longer fulfil your assignment, please let us know so we can find a new writer to adopt your assigned Pokemon. The best way to do this would be replying directly to your assignment email.

This also means there is one week remaining for podficcers to sign up for the project. If you can't sign up but are interested in spreading the word about this event and helping us find more interested podficcers (thank you!), here's a shareable image and some text. Feel free to alter it however you'd like.

We are now matching participants to Pokemon and will send out emails with assignments within the next 48 hours. We'll also share stats of which Pokemon were offered the most once all emails are sent! With the number of signups received, we are not expecting there to be any initial pinch hits, but keep an eye on this community or our Tumblr for updates on which Pokemon need adopting during the writing period.

You can still sign up as a podficcer until 17 September. 

We're thrilled to share that we now have more stories offered than there are Pokemon available in Generation One! Don't worry, this doesn't mean you can't still participate if you were considering it - it just means writers offering multiple stories might not be assigned as many as they offered.

We have added clarification to our rule on archive warnings.

The rule now reads:

Works should not include any of AO3’s archive warnings (Graphic Depictions of Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non-Con, and Underage.) Canon-typical violence, such as battling, is fine. Canonical themes of death and grief, such as the ghosts of Pokemon Tower or Cubone's deceased mother, are fine.
